you should definately pick up the ep that came out after the album. it's
called "slow riot for new zero kanada" and is on constellation/kranky(us).
two long tracks, the 2nd of which is really several different
compositions, i think, and features more dialog with the crazy street guy:
screaming about america and traffic tickets...it great! i can't wait to
hear that silver mt. zion record. oh, and have you heard do make say
think? they're another canadian band. AWESOME stuff. i just got their
2nd LP, "goodbye enemy airship the landlord is dead". it's also on
constellation. instrumental, very melancholic/epic like godspeed but no
strings and a sort of jazzy feel to the rhythms. also somewhat cinematic.
the 2nd track on the album always brings a scene from a non-existant film
to mind (one from my imagination, that is).
