Hi, Just a note that say that for those in the States and Canada who haven't purchased Thug's "Isolated Rhythm Chock" because of its relative unavailability in that region you now have no excuse as Skimo Music <skimomusic@home.com> will be doing orders again for the last time this coming week. So do yourself an aural favour and purchase this wonderful disc. Don't just take my word for it; here's a glowing endorsement of Thug's work from CiM (whose work on Delsin and Headspace receives great reviews on this list, and rightly so) - "Still sounds amazing. Very _Bytes_ - which no-one else ever comes close to sounding like. So that's pretty amazing." Also Andrew Duke the man behind the excellent Cognition website rates Thug's "Isolated Rhythm Chock" at no.3 in the June Top 20 Electronics Chart against some fairly heavy competition, check out: http://techno.ca/cognition/ejune99.htm to see the competition. For those of you who don't like to purchase music unheard point your browsers at: http://listen.to/Aural-Industries for 30 to 45 second high quality mp3 sound snippets of some of the tracks on IRC or http://Aural-Industries.com.au and go to the downloads section and download some exclusive high quality full-length mp3's from Thug. Here's what Lee Grainge (of Fatcat fame) said on hearing Blat, the first mp3 on the site above "Wow. New Plaid?". Download it and see if you agree. Then if you want more of that sound purchase the CD. Also i'm sure those who have heard Thug's music already will agree... Thug's music is something you really should hear. Thug is going to be big due to the amazing music coming out of his mind, hands and equipment and this might be your last chance to obtain his first full-length!! So if you want to obtain a copy send an email to: <skimomusic@home.com> Regards, John http://Aural-Industries.com.au

I have no idea what you are talking about Skimomusic should be doing it for about $15-16 US, as I wholesale it to him for $12 US! If he gets enough orders this price will even drop as the shipping cost per CD becomes much more negligible. I'm hoping Skimo gets enough orders that the wholesale price will be $10 US, so it might even come in at approximately $13 US retail cost, which I agree is more reasonable and much more likely to happen this time (...if the number of orders is high). Unfortunately with the small label economics it's always hard to compete with the big boys, and i'm doubly damned for being based in Australia, so I have higher shipping costs to begin with. As for the price of CD's $30 AUS (comparable to $30 CDN) is the regular price of all ordinary CD's and what you'd pay for NiN through to the Spice Girls in this country. Of course such favourite IDM acts and labels are much more expensive here. Regards, John Aural Industries http://Aural-Industries.com.au
