I remember all the questions about the v/vm & Mild Man Jan limited box setsa few months ago on the list. well today i spotted this on the Pelicanneck record shop mailout and figured it may be of interest to a few of you... MILD MAN JAN : Boxes - V/VM - CD BOX - £25.99 After almost two years in the making, Mild Man Jan and V/VM have finally decided to release the mysterious "Boxes" Project. Mild Man Jan, who has had releases on the Skam, V/Vm and noise Museum labels, has constructed a series of CD boxes, each entirely individualised and made from either wood, plastic, metal, fabric and various other materials. Inside each of these boxes is a CD containing a recording of the construction process for that particular box. Each box, therefore, is entirely unique in both appearance and content. Also included on the CD are a series of CD-Rom movies created by MMJ. Please note that the Boxes series is strictly limited to 100 copies, and as of this moment ony 20 have been made. Some of the boxes are very heavy, so if you are interested in purchasing one please be aware that the following shipping costs will apply. In the UK - £4 Europe/USA - £6.50 Rest Of The World - £9.50 You can contact pelicanneck at: pelicanneck@btinternet.com or PelicanNeck Records 3rd Floor Afflecks Palace 52 Church Street Manchester M4 1PW UK TEL: 00 44 (0)161 8342569 FAX: 00 44 (0)161 718 3353 Hope this helps! -->-Lance--- lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

Any idea where this leaves those of us who signed up for a box when they were originally advertised. I'm fairly sure that I was allocated a particular number - but it was so long ago that I can't remember for certain... peter

Following up my own email, I've just received an email from PelicanNeck noting that one of the boxes is reserved for me - presumably this will also apply for the others who pre-ordered. This is a public service announcement, and public thanks to all concerned. peter

idm---hello from v/vm-- caught big lance's post----/// = the state of play with boxes is as follows--- all those who expressed an interest should/will be contacted directly by mild man jan himself, as i passed on all of your e-mail address' to him yesterday---// if he doesn't get in touch give him a mail to re-register for this product- It's important to note that V/Vm will not be stocking or shipping any of these boxes and pelican neck will processing all payments. For further updates on this product feel free to mail mild man jan directly at >> mildmanjan@hotmail.com i would also like to add that all monies raised by the sale of the mild man jan boxes are going directly to mild man jan with nothing coming to v/vm-- and the price definitely reflects the ammount of time and effort that has gone into making each box completly individual. infact i bought one from him yesterday for the full price---- so that's the update^^ and for once it's almost completly legible-- how about that for an idm bonus---- details on the V/VM - Mouldy Old U.S.A. east coast tour--- tomorrow---- it's now only 13 day's away**** that's unlucky for those of you brave enough0000 to attend-// v/vm- -------------------------------------------------- V/Vm Test Records. -------------------------------------------------- V/Vm c/o - 205 Edgeley Road, Edgeley, Stockport. They did a recent mailing in which they said that if your box was ready, they would email you shortly. I do believe that all of the boxes are preorders. I could be mistaken. jeff "Lance @ Inaudible" wrote:
