mike - hopefully this obtuse & personal list will help: (well, jazz is a personal thing - as hard to define as idm) 1. Herbie Hancock - "Butterfly" - as electronic as you can get without the cheese 1a: Lonnie Liston Smith "Expansions" - Truly amazing pre elektronika classic grossly overlooked & overcovered badly thru the early daZE of acid house... 2. Chet Baker - "Chet" - as full of dark spaces & melodies even tho it's full of cheesy standards - it's chets use of spaces & drops & emotive as hell. 3. Stan Getz - anything for reason no. 2 4. Fela Kuti - although not heavy in the programming, heavy in the rhythms.. At 6:56 am -0400 10/5/00, Intermodal wrote:
