1. Herbie Hancock - "Butterfly" - as electronic as you can get
without the cheese
1a: Lonnie Liston Smith "Expansions" - Truly amazing pre
elektronika classic grossly overlooked & overcovered badly thru the
early daZE of acid house...
2. Chet Baker - "Chet" - as full of dark spaces & melodies even tho
it's full of cheesy standards - it's chets use of spaces & drops &
emotive as hell.
3. Stan Getz - anything for reason no. 2
4. Fela Kuti - although not heavy in the programming, heavy in the rhythms..
