I -really- want to do a nor-cal/sf-area webpage...but haven't yet. there's lots of good resources already, though, like the SFRaves calendar at hyperreal (already mentioned), the SFSTATION.COM city-guide website (very up-to-date and good coverage). plus, a friend of mine just started a bay-area concerts list at topica.com...not IDM/electronica specifically, but that's welcomed: ba-concert@topica.com he eventually wants to turn the list into a dynamic webpage calendar. and whoever said that there's nothing going on in sanfrancisco, fuck you. you've never lived in pittsburgh (pa). ;) -jimg __ skoop@slackers.net | http://www.slackers.net/~skoop

For a range of experimental and creative music in the SF area, check the Out-bound list at outbound-subscribe@topica.com. Can't say nothing is going on here when Kirk Degiorgio's playing tomorrow, now:

What's going on in Salt Lake City this weekend? Hahaha... just kidding. Sean, at least you don't live in Utah. This place SUCKS. Solenoid, Lex, Hrvatski, Mixmaster Morris, Lillienthal, Mad Monkey Kung Fu guy, anyone else, if you feel like playing for me and the three other guys in this state who would listen then you can stay at my house. Please, for the love of god! by the way, what's wrong with the Urban Sounds page? finally got Lex's "Oh Here's Some Noises", Coldcut - "Autumn Leaves", Mu-Ziq - "Royal Astronomy", and To Rococo Rot - "The Amature View." I highly recommend all of them -pete

the difference is that nobody expects anything to be happening in utah. ;) many people consider s.f. to be a world-class culture hub in a way that doesn't translate to SLC.

look for it again in about 4 weeks. ironically, rumor on the street says that there will also be a launch party. eric onnow: push button objects, "a day in a life" (skam)
