huh...is that really true? the thing that struck me about 'Tally Ho' was that, unlike a lot of mix'n'match sampling projects, the sample-collages seemed to have been assembled and fleshed out with his own sequenced parts in a sophisticated tonal/harmonic way. the music is whimsical, not ponderous--maybe that's all you meant--but I doubt he's notably naive as a musician. kurt
