I want to second David's praise of Kettel (http://www.mp3.com/kettel). Crunchy midtempo rhythms and very pretty and well thought-out melodies. Very human and sincere. "APM" got my head nodding with its unceasing breakbeat, and "Pleasant Urgence" has this shuffling beat and almost playful melody. I think of Aphex meets Higher Intelligence Agency, which for me is a good thing. An example of solid IDM with not an ounce of fluff or fodder. G.
