Since I was the guy who originally proposed this, I guess I should toss in my twopence, as well. I threw out this idea merely as a fun exercise...I wasn't thinking of something as thorough as the recent IDM Remix MP3s/CDr. I didn't think that there'd be this flood of interest (not that's a bad thing)--I just wanted a track to remix so I could flex my newly-acquired sampler muscles. At any rate, I'm happy to see such enthusiasm, and I'm down for coordinating this however we decide...I've got a good amount of server space for a webpage, I could probably set Majordomo up on my ISP to run a list (or we could use Topica or Onelist), and I've got a (slow) CDR at home. We could do this two ways: 1. Post MP3's of finished tracks (one per contributor) at a website, and download those and remix the track. 2. Post samples that each contributer has used to create a track, WITHOUT posting the finished track (this mimics the methodology that the IDM Remix Chain used), and each contributer chooses a collection of samples to work with to create a new track. These are the people who've expressed interest. Please contact me if you want your name removed from the list: Andrew Duke <cognition@ns.sympatico.ca> John Counts <polycyclicism@yahoo.com> "Kurt B. I'll vote for option 2, but don't really mind either way.

I was sure I'd already responded to this, but I guess I'll ask to be added again anyway. Eddie

Counting in the people who have contacted jim g there are well over 20 people who've expressed interested in some capacity or another, so I think I've got to call enough for the submissions. I have set up a list at onelist.com, and am setting about subbing people to it. No more clutter on IDM, I say! :) Michael Join 18 million Eudora users by signing up for a free Eudora Web-Mail account at http://www.eudoramail.com
