Dear world,
Hear ye, hear ye! Dot is back. The knights of the Dotian table have once more galloped into the world, in what is their Second Crusade. Our goal is to make all things right and purge the poopoo out there. We know it wont be easy. We know well make many enemies, but we have waited long and have dozens of agents placed just waiting for our signal. As in the first wave of attack we will not sneak around the bushes. No, well come with a Bladamm! And we expect to see the world choke on its ice-cream. With four glimmering EP:s launched on the same day - one from an old swordsman and three from newly dubbed knights - Dot is back to change the course of music history...:-)

First in line is the internationally recognized funk and vocoder wizard Jonas Quant, aka QUANT. After two top charted and celebrated EP:s, several compilations and a bunch of remixes, for the master ninjas of Coldcut and Tosca, amongst others, this swede now releases his third EP, named "Tik Tok". This is also the subject for Dots very first music video and on August 30th, Quants much anticipated debut album "Quantastical Quantasm" will be released on the starved world.
Second of the Dotknights, British Lee Norris aka Metamatics, releases his first EP on Dot with Man-Q-Neons - a charmingly elegant, nu-elctroish:ish crispy and machine-romantic EP that if it was heard by robots they would definitely fall in love. Metamatics dotian debut album, Midnight Sun Pig, will be released at September 27th.
Storming down from the heights of Dotlandia comes the third knight and debutant Jol. Previously known as Star this afornrider of the Vigger-wave 2000 brings us the EP Think Tin, which already is the favourite of enlightened and halo-wearing missionaries such as DJ Morpheus and Peter Kruder of Kruder & Dorfmeister. We cant help but smiling and enjoying these signs and we know that this truly talented young man will conquer many hearts in a near future. Jolian keywords are Herbie Hancock, Roy Ayers and Vive la Vigger 2000. Full-on funky charge, jazz enchantment and crystal
self evidence! Jols album will be released this autumn.
Last in the Dotian quartet is Zeke Schöön. As his brothers in arms Quant and Jol, Zeke comes from Sweden. From Gothenburg to be exact. San Tropez Tonight is his first contribution to music history. But what about the music? Well, Zeke is the king and musically the album is a vocally based project and a unique mix of Kraftwerk, Prince and - why not - a young Bowie of today. Zekes cool album will be released spring 2001.
Summary
It all started in a villa in Gothenburg 1996. Together with NONS (North of No South Records) - the mothership - Dot decided to change the course of Swedish music history. Dot released albums with unknown Swedish artists who knew nothing about techno, released compilations, Endlessnessism, and all covers were signed Sweden Graphics. And with sparkling eyes word was spread about Quants funk, Friends innovative drumnbass and Habs naive electronica. Without being tied down by genre, except for the fact that all music was electronic, Dot caught the eyes of prominent and picky producers, DJ:s and musicians, such as Laurent Garnier, Mixmaster Morris, Lamb, GusGus, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Beanfield, Kid Loops, Outside, Dubfire, Scanner, Beamont Hannant, DJ Food, Jazzanova, Nobukazu Takemura, Jimpster, Funki Porcini, Ian OBrien, Future 3, Kirk Degiorgio, DJ Morpheus and Janne Schaffer. The praising words didnt seem to end. Among these celebs as well as among music-consumers and journalists all over the world, Dot has been recognized as something unique. It is our hope that we will be greeted the same way 2000.
