None of the artists on the Warp "Influences" compilation appear as remixers on the Warp "Remixes" compilation. I wonder if I should draw a conclusion from this. If so, what? C.

Probably that, since their peak ten years ago they've gone downhill/vanished. Or that Warp are vaguely progressive, and would rather go for the newer talent.

A surprisingly high number of the artists on the influences disk are still active as producers (Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson, K Alexi, 808 State, AGC Gerald...) and even more are still around as DJs / label heads, etc. It seems strange that not even _one_ appears as a remixer. -d.w.
