hi folks, just thought i'd throw in the old 'humble opinion': cim-service pack is a highly enjoyable e.p. not ground-breaking but those who like their idm to have simple yet pleasant chords over competent beatz, this ones for you, also those who still think the old a.i. comps are the shizznit unrelated...all this talk of who is patcha kutek (from beta bodega) is kinda funny. whoever it is should NOT admit it, because their's is the worst track on that comp (imho, of course) the lo bit-rate beats are o.k. but the piano samples get on my nerves like a mosquito in my ear would. i don't have anything against piano samples, per sae. the rest of the tracks are pretty solid idm that most would like, i imagine. the latest _takeshi_ is not bad, the beatz are pretty cool but i wish he could put more than one chord progression in his tracks (and their not as nice as cim's)or maybe throw a melody over the chords. i don't know , maybe some people like it like that, i tend to get bored easily (especially when the track is 7 min long, unlike cim's whose tracks never overstay their welcome) if anyone has any info on cim (like other releases , upcoming? who it is, etc) please pass it on. i've missed a couple weeks of idm, hope i'm not being redundant bye bye, friends Join 18 million Eudora users by signing up for a free Eudora Web-Mail account at http://www.eudoramail.com

I know that he did a nice detroit techno/jungle affair with Sean Deason on Headspace.... that's a great 12". Didn't he do a solo 12" on that label as well? And Headspace is definitely a label to look out for as well. I have a Tom Churchill 12" called 'At Your Fingertips' which is right up my alley in terms of intelligent Detroit programming with lush synth drenching the whole thing. Simon hasn't been on IDM for some months now. He played a good hour set at the Big Chill on the Sunday.
