why is it that the U.S. cant have more three day events like in the U.K.? I mean even if it is on the lines of woodstock and all, cant the we have such a huge event that brings together good music (day and night)?

There's going to be a 24-hour outdoor electronic music festival south of Atlanta in August (from noon to noon, 21st/22nd) and it will include Richard Devine and Phoenicia playing live, plus lots of other "bigger/more mainstream/insert your insult here" acts such as BT and Uberzone, should be interesting...at least you can bring your own coolers with cheap beverages and food.
