Careful, Irene. Here in America, where powerful guns are cheap and plentiful, this might actually happen ;) I mean, if you gotta shoot up a record store, go for Sam Goody (and don't shoot any people, just strafe their overpriced merchandise). But please don't hurt the nice people at Other Music. I'm indifferent about the heroin waifs who work at Kim's. - Fred

Why is that prices seem to be going up in the Big Stores? HMV typically sells CDs at $18 now! That's close to what CDs cost when they were first introduced, and the factory rejection rate was something like 70%. Of course, HMV instituted those silly score cards - "Buy 10, Get 1 Free" - a move which coincided with raising prices. Nice trick. I've had enough. GEMM it is. Even CDNow seems to have raised prices. By the way, I've been ordering quite a bit from w3cd (www.w3cd.com). Very cheap, quite a good selection, and free shipping (well, for a while; seems to be a promotion for the next few weeks). The order arrived today... 3

Go for any of the mall record stores......$18.99 is not a reasonably price for a domestic(in the US) CD. Rob Codec! http://www.mindstorm.com/codec LogiQ http://www.mindstorm.com/logiq
