In an old issue of Magic Feet (damn I wish I could still find that magazine), I read this interview with the Advent and they were totally raving about an artist(s) called Technasia. They had commented that they were putting out some of the best electro. So I had that name in my head to look for. I recently picked up their single Technasia - Hydra (technasia) and it's more on the techno tip. There is one track that is very downtempo, sort of in the BOC vibe..but not quite. All the songs are pretty good. Anyway, I recently re-noticed that they are on Dave Clarke's Electro Boogie Vol.2. So I relistened to their track and thought it was really good. I believe the track was called "Crosswalk". It's a really good cut. I was just curious whether anyone had any comments? I think that track is alot fresher sounding than alot of electro i have heard out there. Alot of electro is pretty cheesy and too predictable. The whole 80s thing gets kind of boring after a while. I really prefer the kind of electro that Electron Industries was putting out. Especially that Sem (2 x 12) called Demons (red vinyl). Anyway, I found some pretty decent stuff recently. I liked the new Mr Barth (C. Lekebusch/D. Roiseaux) - French Lessons (Wrong Step). It's housey but pretty downtempo with vocoded vocals. Pretty nice stuff. I also really liked the new Jason Hogans - Peter And The Rooster ep on Planet E. Pretty nice downtempo stuff with a some jungle elements on some songs. Planet E is always really good. Definitely, one of the most consistent US label with regards to QUALITY. I should probably go back and give that 1st Jason Hogans a listen. Also found some good drum n bass 12"s this week. The new Hidden Face - 20/20 Vision (Nu Black/No U Turn sublabel) is really good. Bad Company - The Pulse/China Cup (Prototype) is pretty nice stuff, can't wait for their single on Virus to come out. They have a track called Skintag that's getting caned by all the big UK dnb junglists. The new Decoder & Substance - Heist/Curvature (Audio Couture/Moving Shadow) is also pretty nice. I can't wait for the Optical remix of Ryme Tyme's - We Enter coming out on Saigon/No U Turn. That's going to be massive. I heard they are working on a video for it. Ryme Tyme is a really cool guy, great producer and MC. I've seen him a few times over the last few months. Expect good things from him! He has made some tracks with Dom Angas (Dom & Roland) and Optical. Listened to the new Jega/Kid Spatula. Thought this was really unimpressive. Also thought the Tusken Raiders was really weak also. _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get your free @yahoo.com address at http://mail.yahoo.com

Does that mean there's a Jason Hogans record before the Planet E "Peter and the Rooster"? Label/album info would be much appreciated.
