Ok Joel. I used to be on this list a year and a half ago regularly, and if anyone remembers correctly burnt copies of Otaku, Pentamerous Metamorphosis and Space since they were out of print. many took me up on this offer and I heard no complaints. I then moved out of the country for awhile (yes, I was traveling! and a mailing list was an impossibility, let alone finding e-mail). Anyway, I understand, and apologize to you (and the rest of the list) if I got a bit pissed. It's just a terrible feeling to know that you're honest and have others doubt you. I didn't take into consideration past experiences of others on here with thieves like "Gil Gersham". I guess, it's cause I have trusted and, touch wood, haven't been burnt. Sincerely, (for what it's worth!) I don't appreciate the implication. Amitab {"Oxybate" <sinewave@thethinker.com>}: i too raised a brow over this amazing list of goodies. i apologize if we're questioning your integrity; but the sad fact remains that folk occasionally get burned in these faceless transactions (anyone recall the name of Gil Gershman and his myriad of email addresses and pseudonyms?). i think a few folk are put off by the fact that we haven't seen your name pop up a whole lot (at least, not on the ambient listserv), and no-one i've touched base with recalls having dealt with you. this is why i asked for a few trader references, and why i'm put off in that you couldn't provide any. i write all this with the unease of knowing that i might be doubting a truly honest trader. if that is the case, please accept my genuine apologies, and throw the interested parties on this list some sort of bone when asked for references. +j+
