Am i the only one with filthy discs from these people at Rastermusic/Noton? I've got myself a subscription for the 20' to 2000 series of discs, and they are a MESS when they arrive. And it isn't my CD shop, as the discs are still sealed, and when i unwrap them and open up the super-special jewel case, it looks like Noton took the whole damn shipment out to the California Redwood Forest and cut down a BIG ass tree 6 inches away from my CDs! There's all this sawdust-like substance sprinkled on the CD and inside the case, so i have to clean the things before i can put them in my CD player. I've already contacted the Rastermusic website about it, but as a general message to labels: If you're going to bother packaging discs in cute/unique/weird cases, you should at least reserve some care for the condition of the actual disc! All the filth aside, i must agree about June's issue being really good, i think it's my favorite so far. no@h onnow: 20' to 2000 - June "Senking" "|+'5 n0+ f@k3, end 0f c3n+ury, m@g|c d|5pl@y" . . . . . . ..... . . . . . .

So far most of mine have been pretty good, but my Coh CD... (forget the month?) was scratched up on the fringe of the CD... Not where the actual CD is, but on the plastic area... Really bad too.... I was so unhappy that the nifty aesthetics of my disc were so badly damaged. You (zimbo) may have written:

Well, I've been getting mine mailed straight from Noton, and I haven't had any problems at all with dirty/scratched discs. All of them have arrived in excellent condition. They also arrived unsealed (i.e. they weren't wrapped in plastic), which is pretty much the norm for import CDs, so perhaps the distributor who is sending them out to shops is getting crap on them before wrapping them. No, you're not the only one. The other 5 have been clean, actually, but the Senking CD was extremely dirty, and the sealed case rather scuffed. --Mark __ Burning Rome : SENSELESS CD on Mindfield Records MindCD03 Cathartium 14 < http://www.burningrome.com/ > < more high-quality MP3s coming soon >

I've collected them all, but only the Senking disc was marred by this coating of tree-bark shavings or whatever it is. The others were as pristine as one could expect. I still think Ikeda's release is the best of the bunch.
