Hi everyone, it's me again. I was surfing the Net, so to speak, and happened to come across this page: <http://listen.to/t> Religion aside, would this stuff be considered Intelligent Dance Music? I like it but am not sure what to call it because it does not sound very strange and experimental, although it seems to be danceable and has intelligent elements (shifting counterpoint, scale modulation and such... hey, music theory sure helps!). I have heard the term "classical crossover" often used to describe music like this. Any opinions regarding this? Any further insight would be greatly appreciated. (Interestingly, in the biography, Aphex Twin is cited as an influenced, so this cannot be totally off-topic ;-D.) BLECH! make it stop! ack! that was horrid! I had a horrible flash forward of being an old fart pushing a shopping cart full of grandkids through a Wal-mart somewhere playing Muzak 'interpretations' of the music I used to like when I was a young whippersnapper. " HE he he, you youngsters just dont get it, this music was the shiznit!.." Then the gkids would say "OH grandpa, no one says shiznit anymore, shut your hole - you're embarrassing us!"
