wait a minute... matmos are on matador now?? they're listed as a band on the front page of the site, as well as the upcoming shows page... now that's news (at least to me). guess it kind of makes sense as they seem to have quite a warped taste in electronic music, which is fine by me. are they getting a license for the vague terrain stuff as well, while they're at it? does matador even sign any rock bands anymore? :) -- david turgeon at http://www.notype.com

after further investigation, i found that they are most likely only signed to matador europe. they carry 'matmos' as well as 'quasi-objects'. & i was wishing for a new domestic record! speaking of, how does 'the west' sounds? (in case i ever find it.) -- david turgeon at http://www.notype.com

I was chatting w/ Matador's publicist a few days ago, and from what I understand, Matmos are currently signed to Matador for distribution out side of America. I think they're still working on getting the guys distributed in the states. just something I heard Luke out now e.x.p. issue B featuring interviews with: Low Res OST/Rook Valard Neotropic Dave Clarke Mixmaster Morris Phthalo Records
