I see the vinyl for the first Nine Inch Nails single off the new album will contain a Porter Ricks remix. Anyone heard the new Sqrpsr? What should I have bought that I didn't because it was obscure?

from sonicnet (www.sonicnet.com): "The Day the World Went Away" will be accompanied by a second version called "The Day the World Went Away — Quiet Version" and the B-side "Starfuckers Inc." The 12-inch vinyl version of the song will feature a remix from Porter Ricks, a duo comprising Thomas Koner and Andy Melwig who use heavy bass loops, repetitive keyboard patterns and dub effects. Scary. Nine Inch Nails remixed by Porter Ricks? Weird. I may buy a NIN record on vinyl, which is strange in its own right. Theorem "Ion" (M_NUS) essential Jason Hogans "Peter & The Rooster" (Planet E) see recent reviews V/A "Dated" (töshöklabs) see recent reviews, damn good MAT-101 "Goodbye Mum" (Balance) 80's synthpop retro action, fucking great Tom P.S. That's just recent stuff I've been excited about. Be more specific?

Interestingly, this was passed right by on my recent sale list. I was mystified. Fits right in on either the 313 or the IDM bandwidth perfectly. jeff "10,000 people all screaming the same thing at the same time are wrong, even if they're right." dancing/about/architecture "...with wandering steps and slow..." Gonna chime in here - this cd is excellent - a super mellow Global Communications "76:14" kind of vibe. Recommended. TOI np: David Sylvian / Holger Czukay - "Plight and Premonition" "~(({[Endemic~Distortion]}))~" wrote:
