Fila Brazillia and the Solid Doctor are definitley my two fave artists.
Power Clown is a bit atypical, but i'm assuming you have "Sty Wars" and "A
Taste Of Pork" "Sty Wars" sounds like more of the new stuff, "A Taste" is
more thier classic stuff. (there is continuity between old and new though.)
Fila's Power Clown and Maim That Tune are IMO, the two best (and "most
essential") releases on Pork. Power Clown is the best of the new, Maim is
the best of the old. If you dig the old, try the Heights of Abraham albums
and the first Fila "Old Codes.New Chaos."
"Mess" is a further venture along the "Maim" path, with more drum and bass
influences. "Black Market Gardening" is prob my least fave Fila release,
though it is good, darker, dubbier, and leaning in the direction that is to
become "Luck Be a Wierdo Tonight." "Luck" probably would have had more
fans if it hadn't had so many silly samples of laughing and screaming and
vocal gurglings thrown all over, similar to Power Clown, more subtle, less
funky. Luck includes great track "Heat Death of The Universe."
Solid Doctor's "How About Some Ether" is a 2CD set of great songs. I have
yet to get his other "Beats Means Highs" but i do have a 12" off it, and
it's great. If you can find it, the Solid Dr. 12" "Losing Patients Vol. 3"
has the great 12-minute "Blazing Mass Of Energy," which sounds like it
samples Sammy Hagar.
Also, Bullitnuts are good, both "Nut Roast" and "Different Ball Game" are
good starting places. Similar sound, dubbier.
Baby Mammoth are similar to Fila, but with a sparser and hip-hoppier sound.
"Bridging 2 Worlds" would be a poor starting place, try "Another Day at the
Orifice", then their latest "Swimming."
Rounding out the primary roster, Akotcha, who only have relased "Sound
Burger" are a more different take on the similar vibe. More likely to have
crossover fans from strict IDM, some AFX-like sounds thrown in here and
there, and the last track "Gosub" is a tear-terker reminiscient of DJ
Shadow's Finest moments.

Well, as we see, i'm more than willing to chew your ear off about them at
any mention.

Parts, it's really housey, but other parts like Serratia Marcescens don't.
This album is probably my favorite use of house beats ever, but then i'm
partial.
