I have to say I am really enjoying the new Plaid. I'm in the 'not for 3's
was excellent' camp, so take that as you will. That being said, Restproof
is very nicely executed: lots of depth to the music, the styles are all
over the place, and the productions values are tops. I was afraid after
the first one that Plaid would succumb to the over-indulgent corn
factor that sometimes traps Mr. James and Mr. Paradinas. Not so here. Of
course they are having fun on the record, but there is also q nice sense
of drama on this one. One of the best records I have picked up in quite
some time. Certainly makes up for the sub par Ae EP...
