... just got back from SWELL (in AZ) and while there I listened to NEIL LANDSTRUMM' Buildings and Cities, didn't have enough cash to pick it up however:(. Anyone get this and like it. Anyone know where to get it mailorder cheap? $22 was little high IMO (vinyl should be cheaper than CD, no?) The guy at the store told me that Niel's stuff is a lot like C. Vogel's stuff and he had a CD there that had red/black/and white artwork. Unfortunately he could not locate the disc. Can anyone tell me the name of the C.Vogel lp? I was dying to hear it, cuz I've seen his name pop up plenty and his Track on the Vampiros Lesbos is killer:), someone tell me the name. Thank you. oh yeah, while I was there I picked up: Leo Anibaldi's Void for $10 Moellhoven on Eevo Lute (why don't we talk about Eevo Lute more often I wonder?) gil

Landstrumm's new lp/cd Bedrooms and Cities is a great release of highly innovative pounding techno but it's only available on import so $18-22 is probably what you'll pay everywhere. If you like that release check the recent release of Bedrooms and Cities remixes called The Scandinavia Sessions 12" featuring the remixing talents of Navarious Sauro, Tobias Schmidt, Adam X and Stephen Brown.

The vogel lp you speak of is All Music Has Come To An End on the Tresor label.

Vogel's track on the Vampos Lesbos is not really indicative of his overall work. Vogel, like landstrumm, specializes in innovative hard techno. Both are two of the better artists in the hard techno style.

I agree the Eevolute doesn't get enough discussion here. Eevolute is a veritible treasure trove of excellent idm and melodic techno. Here are a few of my favorite Eevolute releases: . 2000 & One: Neverending Cycle 12" (Eevolute) . Ross 154: Fragments 12" (Eevolute) . David Carion: Dawn 12" (Eevolute) . Florence: The vineyard (Peter Ford rmxs) 12" (Eevolute) . Ballet Mechanique: Embody 12" (Eevolute) . Moellhoven: Tipsy Tones 12" (Eevolute) Or try one of the two Eevolute comp cds: . Agenda 21 comp cd (Eevolute) . Agenda 22 comp cd (New Electronica/Eevolute) -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

Bedrooms and Cities, Tresor. Its a good one, some people find it hard to deal with at the best of times though, his artistic licence has extended to death metal noise mixed with Sheffield bleeps and bass. Retro but active. Good value. __ |¬¬ The Cosmic Crofter crofter@ehx.ednet.co.uk - http://www.ednet.co.uk/~ehx LATEST LATEST LATEST LATEST LATEST LATEST LATEST LATEST RealAudio: 6 in the Mix, ex-6k idiot with gripping 47 minute mix Boards of Canada - Realaudio of Twoism!! Hi all-- Just got Neil Landstrumm's "Understanding Disinformation" and am positively _loving_ it. Fantastic stuff, here. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what my next Landstrumm purchase should be? I really don't know very much about his body of work as a whole. Thanks for your help! Glad to hear mention of him. IMHO the best detroit bass could produce. "Bedrooms & Cities" is the next you should check. It is different from the first one. This one is less harsh than the one you've got. Less agression and more energy, that's what my impression is. In general you should like it if you like "Understanding Desinformation". Alien np. nothing as I have no cds at work...
