A couple of people have recommended the Blaze ep "Lovelee Day" to me as an example of some fine, shimmering house. First up, does this sample that "Lovely Day" track that the Gap "Khaki soul" commercial uses? And secondly, there seem to be several different 12"s for the track, including various remixes... which includes the Swag mix? (BTW, I was pretty surprised at Lance's comment that Swag personnel also were RAC!) Finally, anyone know of URLs for Playhouse or Slip'n'slide records? Can't find anything thru the usual channels. thanks, phil

I believe the Blaze ep includes the Swag mix is: . Blaze: Lovely Dae Rmx 12" (Playhouse 013) But my favorite Blaze ep is: . Blaze: Lovelee Dae - Final Chapter 12" (Playhouse) Love those Carl Craig, Eight Miles High, and Freestyle Man rmxs!

Swag also run the Primitive & Odori labels out of London. Check both those labels for more slamming and/or jazzy Swag-styled tech-house.

Official Playhouse website at: http://www.mad-net.de/ongaku/index.html but it looks like it's still in development so not much there yet. -->-Lance--- mclance@nacs.net lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

My pick, and the one with the Swag mix, is the double pack which came out on Playhouse in the grey sleeve. A wide assortment of mixes, from the likes of Isolee and 8 Miles High, from totally abstract to nicely smooth. It doesn't sample the Bill Withers track used in the Gap commercial, at least that I can hear. Joe
