Several things that I'm hoping to get answers to... Just curious: Somebody is willing to sell me their copy of Rhythim is Rhythim (Transmat) with Strings (flam-boy-ant mix) and Strings of Life (Mayday, Michael James) on the A side and Move It "Remix" and Kaos "Juice Bar Mix" on the B side. I'm well aware of what it is and have heard it before, but exactly how much should I reasonably pay for this, do you think? Is there any way to tell what pressing of this it is, etc? More info, please... Just curious: Picked up the Kodo remix one yesterday...couldn't believe it existed. I saw Kodo perform several times as a kid and was amazed to find that they'd been remixed...Has a nice downtempo swing to it. Anyway, again, does anyone have more info on this? I bought Moodyman's Sunday Morning in Chicago yesterday...and when I got home I found that it is so warped that it won't even play! Grrrr. Is there anything I can do about this? Many thanks for your help, Lauren _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. Visit http://www.msn.com

Put it in your microwave ... NOT! Shieeh, you're having bad luck, aren't you? Didn't you mention leaving some vinyl in the car that got warped too? What works best is placing the record between two flat panes of glass out in the sun. I * ~ you can also mail me at <lime909@hotmail.com> "I shift the blame to the worm in the bottle" ~~ Wire

The Rhythm is Rhythm release you are after is Transmat #4 (Cat #MS-4) and, like most of the Transmat catalog, it should still be in print. So dont pay more than $6-7 for it. Here is all the release info: . Rhythim is Rhythim: s/t 12" (Transmat/ms-4) Tracks: a1. Stings (flam-boy-ant mix) a2. Strings of Life b1. Move It (senseless mix) b2. Kaos (mayday's juice bar mix)

Oh yes, the Kodo Drummer remix cd. I believe the acutal title is Kodo: Sai-So Remix Project. I think it's on Sony/Red Ink here in the states. A friend let me check this one a few weeks ago. It features established remixers trying their hand at retooling Kodo's mixture of tribal African polyrhythms and traditional Japanese taiko. Remixers include DJ Krush, Bill Laswell, Kevin Yost, and Strobe to name a few. The only mix that really stood out was Kevin Yost's Deep Ethnic mix which was a lush downtempo late- night houser. It was definitely an interesting release but i couldnt justify buying the whole cd for just one mix. But i believe there is a 2-track sampler from this cd which includes the Yost remix so that might be the better route to go... -->-Lance--- mclance@nacs.net lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states
