rob... i've just got into town myself and although i'm sposed to be looking for a job, i'm still getting sidetracked by the overload of good gigs. i think that mike paradinas is playing as kid spatula at the arts cafe on friday 28th. fuzzy memory. definitely some idm star is going to be there.. i saw a small half-buried poster on the wall of the rough trade store a few days ago. there's also an interesting evening lined up at the ICA called electronic manouvres - loads of live visual and sounds to go along with the onedotzero digital moving image festival that starts on the 28th... make sure you catch some of this festival... your timing is excellent! i'm going to be at fabric on friday - i can't look past seeing ed rush, optical, bryan gee and krust ... all in one hit. pick up a timeout mag as soon as you arrive and feel free to e me. //matt.. np. legendary pink dots - canta mientras puendas

Can someone tell me if there are any resources on the web to find out about local club events in London? I'm making my first trip there from April 28 to Mar 5 and was wondering if there was any good parties going on related to idm. Any suggestions would be appreciated. rob --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Dunno about on-line club guides for London (but I am sure there are some), but if this is your first visit, then I would recommend Fabric. They do have a web site www.london-fabric.co.uk or www.fabric-london.co.uk (I can't remember which) Cheers, Mikey -----Original Message----- From: TekDz9ER@aol.com [mailto:TekDz9ER@aol.com] Sent: Monday, April 24, 2000 01:29 To: idm@hyperreal.org Subject: [idm] Guide To London Clubs Can someone tell me if there are any resources on the web to find out about local club events in London? Aside from the already suggested (and quite excellent) http://www.fabric-london.com Only club guide I've seen recently is on the Evening Standard's webpage http://www.thisislondon.com Depends what you want I suppose. Any other Londoners find the "M8" magazine adverts on the tube a bit much? Sure, I like to look at them and want to buy their magazine, but why do they do that to me? (2 lush clubby girls being overly friendly to one another) While you're in London, I'd urge you to go to Sister Ray and look at the £500 Coil record on the wall. Oh, good place to shop too. And Select-a-disc or Ambient Soho quite often have nights advertised on their noticeboard / window. Listy content : Bought the new Kid Spatula, which I've not played yet. And the Leafcutter John. Any comments? -i. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
