alright, i'm not going to harp on you guys, as i hate when people do that when i announce my public dislike for something... but i think your being a little harsh on s&s... personally, i think they're one of the best bands ever...bery beautiful and calculated...despite what you may think, they're aren't improv...actually very structured... the "teenage-band-first-practice" is actually what they are going for...however it's far far more then that...if you don't like improv oriented music, you won't like s&s...but they're a wonderful brand of deconstructive rock...(not math rock for all you fools who keep labeling them as such...just because the guitarist is in don caballero DOES NOT make them math rock...they have little in common with that genre)...another great decon rock band would be u.s. maple... electronicly, people who like stuff such as fennesz and farmers manual might really enjoy s&s...the abstraction of farmers manual, with the beautiful deconstructed melody of fennesz... -joshua...

eenh, not true. i really like total improv music, but storm & stress were more like "hi, we're three guys with instruments. we just played a bunch of notes for you. now, we're going to play a bunch more notes." i do enjoy improv, just give me a little bit of structure so it makes it sound like a band, and not three guys playing instruments.

heh, i think i'll go look up some 40 year-old white-guy jazz reviews. i'm in the mood for a little deja-vu. eric
