my comments on the issue, in case anybody gives a rat's back cavity: even if someone wrote that they were np'ing twoism i wouldn't be impressed by the fact that they own such a rare record, so really the bragging doesn't annoy me much. actually i love learning about totally unknown music through np statements. & to agree with william, it does helps you get an idea of who you're talking to. actually, i would probably put np's myself but i'm always using email at work & can't play cds here. maybe when i finally setup my internet connection at home. :) np: the hum of a g3 -- david turgeon at http://www.notype.com

Word. I especially enjoy seeing totally unexpected/non-IDM things listed. As in... np: Echo & The Bunnymen "Ocean Rain" (while I lament the fact that their tour that was supposed to start in Toronto tonight has been postponed...) Greg

as i would like to see idm-folk attack soft cell, i would also like to see some folks take a stab at some of the more "off" echo and the bunnymen stuff :) for no other reason, of course, than me being an obsessive fan. songs like: all my colours (zimbo:) ocean rain yo yo man torquoise days bluer skies (is that the name? damn i spaced) bring on the dancing horses the disease but of course, thats just me being silly. heard the new echo full length -- its like 25$. not worth that much, but i was into a few of the songs -- good pop shit. also, to bring stuff back to the real land of idm: will sargent (sp?), the guitarist, has some amazing solo stuff out under the names: themes for grind, and glide the themes for grind stuff sounds something between bela legosis dead, shoegaze and chain reaction style techno (to me!)... though i havent heard it in a while cus some idm superheros made off with my copy at some point. the glide stuff is pretty cool as well, very groovy little dancy/electronic bits sorta on the whole "spacerock" tip. whatever, im babling. music, four lunchpails: wednesdays 7-8pm kuci 88.9fm www.kuci.org _chicks dig laptops_
