yeah yeah...geez! I'm realizing how fortunate I was to even be at that show! (especially since I had no idea where to go until *very* shortly before the show was supposed to happen. the whole day was like a treasure hunt, and everybody who ended up in that insanely small place where the show ended up happening, was a winner!!). I agree with chris, that rd's dj set was really-REALLY good, and set a nice mood for what was to come... then, of course, the mind-blowing set by phoenecia in such an incredibly "intimate" setting. uh, let's just say that they kept most everybody who was in that tiny place from standing still. I was more than thrilled to hear them boom out a version of "odd jobs" that had that place shakin', miami bass style! and if what we heard (besides the few familiar tunes) is what is to come on their forthcoming lp, I CAN"T WAIT! fun stuff. em.
