Hi All-- While cleaning up my studio, I found this CD that I'd been meaning to do a follow-up on...it's in a double cardboard green CD case entitled 'the orb:assassin cd set'. It is on the Big Life, W.A.U. label. There is 1 green CD with the following tracks: "Assassin - the oasis of rhythms mix' and 'U.F.Orb - bandulu remix'and a purple paper cd that says 'the orb:assassin 3 advance warning!' that would be released Mon 12th October 1992 with the following tracks, 'radio 7, another live version, and chocolate hills of bohol mix'. Assassin CD #2 was indeed released a few months after the first cd. I haven't seen either of them in stores since '92 so finding one will definitely be a chore but it's definitely worth seeking out for the chocolate hills of bohol mix alone (what a great name for a mix). Orb's Assassin 2xcd set is still one of my favorite Orb releases. I wish the Orb would have continued developing the technoish sound he employed on these Assassin eps instead of going off in the Pomme Fritz direction... actually a few Orb remixes done after the Assassin eps were in the same style but, in general, the Orb never caught my ears the same after the Assassin eps. -->-Lance--- mclance@nacs.net lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states
