i'm about to place an order with www.forcedexposure.com, and i'm thinking of including _die glocken von sturm_ by sturm on mille plateaux. the description is as follows: "Awesome vinyl-only extended 3 track EP, following up the self-titled full length Sturm album on Mille Plateaux (MP 60). "Sturm is a project by Cologne artist Reinhard Voigt who is part of the Kompact scene. Basic structures on this maxi contain heavy loops, repetitive keyboard patterns and microscopic effects. It is fragile music, music without center. Regardless of genre, dance or ambient, sound are travelling through time and space." i guess i'm hoping it will sound something like the various artists 12" on fat cat. has anybody heard the sturm album, or this new 12"? if so please comment. matt lee np: swap (m.a.s.)

I highly recommend both Sturm releases. Both feature warm filtered ambient washes over deep muted percussion very much in line with the gas/bc/m/cr/r&s releases. So if you want a sound similar to the Various Artists 12" then these definitely fit the bill. Buy them both. i got the album. a little more ambiguous sounding than the fatcat stuff. closer to Burger/Ink, but still denser than that. it's the "microscopic effects" that really make the album. tomas np: Lithops - UniUmit
