Digging through my shelves today, i found an old CD "Future Techno" i have that has Tamphex on it, and in addition to that it has a lot of tracks from other folk as well, most of whom i have never heard of. Looking at the credits, I saw that track 2 "Circuit Breaker" by Overkill is written by Hawtin, so i'm assuming it's Richie Hawtin aka Plastikman, whom i know people here dig. (P) 1992 Probe/Plus8 records. I was wondering if this track is rare or anything so i should mp3 it for interested parties. It doesn't sound like what i know of Plastikman, but then what i know of Plastikman is Consumed. This Cd also has tracks credited to Bolland, Luke Slater, Adam X, Bones, Dearborn, and a few others if those names mean anything to anyone. _________________________________ Adam Roesch / roesch@augsburg.edu Augsburg College / Minneapolis / MN / USA Visit my Fila Brazillia/Pork Recordings fan site: http://dogbert.augsburg.edu/~roesch/pork/ "The only disease we need in our blood is love" TRICKY

Actually the track is Overkill and the artist Circuit Breaker. It was indeed written by Richie Hawtin back in '91 on his first Circuit Breaker ep called Overkill on Probe records. Probe records was the label of Richie Hawtin & John Aquaviva intended as the outlet for harder techno & acid tracks and was a sister label to +8. Probe was the starting place for many legandary techno producers including: . Mark Gage (Cusp/Vapourspace) . Jochem Paap (Public Energy/Speedy J) . Dan Bell (DBX/Spawn/Cybersonik) . Fred Gianelli (Fred/Kooky Scientist/The Acid Didj/Psychic TV) . Himadri (Teste/Turph/Switch/NY6/Spawn) . Steve Stoll (Datacloud/The Operator/Dark Man/The Blunted Boy Wonder/Mr Proper/Octaves & Tremolos/Storm/ Voyager 8) . Chris Sattinger (Mono/Timeblind/Keek/Voodoo Party) . John Aquaviva (Cybersonik/ . Richie Hawtin (Circuit Breaker/Fuse/Cybersonik/Teste/ States of Mind/Final Exposure/Up!/Plastikman/Hardtrax/ Concept) Regarding availability of the probe releases, i believe many of their 30 release are still in print. For more probe info, discography, email, or ordering infos, check their website at: http://www.plus8.com/Probe/ -->-Lance--- mclance@nacs.net lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

Whoops, my bad. I realized that after i posted (otherwise it would have been "Aphex Twin" by Tamphex (Headphuq mix)). Hoped no one would call me on it.

I just checked and "Overkill" is not. As per a private request, I'll mp3 it and let y'all know when i make a webpage for it. I'll also be mp3ing the Luke Slater (X-Tront Vol 3 EP) track "Quadphonik", which is on the same compilation. _________________________________ Adam Roesch / roesch@augsburg.edu Augsburg College / Minneapolis / MN / USA Visit my Fila Brazillia/Pork Recordings fan site: http://dogbert.augsburg.edu/~roesch/pork/ "The only disease we need in our blood is love" TRICKY

One of the dirtiest techno tracks I've ever heard. It's a corker.
