There is in fact structure, you will not enjoy his music the first time, squarepusher has been into his music for a while, nobody else can understand any sort of music right away if it is new to them, you must listen to it a few times to get it, to digest the music in the same way you digest a good book. If you still don't get it, then you are a typical person. For the record I agree with what you have said here. I have listened to the records in question a number of times and there is certainly an element of growing to like them more with each listen. I like the records. I don't think they're crap. I never said that I did. When I said I thought they showed promise I was perhaps not giving them the credit they deserve. Having said this I agree with the opinion expressed by someone before that an album constructed from the best parts of the two records - now there's an album!

Sounds like an attempt at "scat" singing, as was made particularly famous by Ella Fitzgerald. Perhaps, because of the screaming, I'm guessing they were: 1. parodying jazz 2. really really FREE Form, aka ALL the rules go out the window 3. being silly, and or taking the piss outta overzealous fan-types Sounds like they were having fun themselves, though....
