i think it's on the good side, personally. the music is a bit more accessible than panasonic usually does, a little more "there" than most of their material. the major stumbling block seems to be alan vega's voice for most people - personally, i love the guy, love it when he talks, love it when he emits strange car-alarm noises, so i quite enjoyed the CD. no one else really did, though. so YMMV. incidentally, got the tomas jirku _immaterial_ cd yesterday, and i'm [gr]eating it up. with two forks. actual review will be posted to idm someday. -- [http://listen.to/treblequake] "o mutante ? mais feliz/feliz porque na nova muta??o/a felicidade ? feita de metal" _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. Exactly. If an instrumental version of VVV were available, it'd be my fave pan sonic album, cos it's more "songs" and not just "really cool sounds for a period of time". But as it stands (with vocals), it's just interesting, and my least fave pan sonic album, but i'll definitley give it more tries, perhaps i'll learn to love vega's voice. _________________________________ Adam Roesch / roesch@augsburg.edu Augsburg College / Minneapolis / MN / USA Visit my Fila Brazillia/Pork Recordings fan site: http://dogbert.augsburg.edu/~roesch/pork/ "The only disease we need in our blood is love" TRICKY

Anyone interested in VVV would do well to check out Suicide's 1st self-titled album. It was recently reissued through Blast First. I don't know if you can still find the 2CD version with live tracks. In any case, that would tell you why VVV was worth making in the first place. --Mark __ Burning Rome : SENSELESS CD on Mindfield Records MindCD03 Cathartium 14 > Distributed by Dutch East India Trading, Com Four, and Carrot Top < < http://www.xnet.com/~mkolmar/BurningRome > < MP3 & RealAudio tracks >
