If you want the most hilariously po-faced preachy Coldcut song, check out 'boot the system' on one of their old EP's. Not only were the lyrics awful, they made the mistake of printing them on the sleeve, including the chorus word for word. It went something like, Babylon system, ooh yeah, Babylon system baby, must fail baby must fail... Something like that anyway. I actually think coldcut are pretty good, but this was far and away the worst thing they ever did. Dan Shoebridge. np: fridge - Kinsohita Terasaka, post rock finally goes speed garage.

hmm... i actually thought boot the system was a pretty decent track. i sold my "let us play" CDs, but hung on to the boot the system/atomic moog 2000 single cause it had a bunch of good mixes. the japanese version of more beats and pieces also has a couple good mixes of boot the system. i think that musically, boot the system is so much better than any of the other preachy tracks from let us play, so maybe that's why i'm able to deal with it. alan! np:ischemic folks (again) On Wed, 12 May 1999, dis2 wrote:
