I recently received promo copies of the Funkstoerung "Additional Productions" CD and the Depth Charge "Electro Boogie" mix CD on Studio K7. I just want to give both of them big thumbs up. Although I've always liked them, I've never been an immense Funkstoerung fan, but "Additional Productions" really shows off the skills of Mike and Chris. Indeed they're guilty of working of the Ae blueprint, but, much like Bochum Welt did with Aphex's style, they manage to pull it off with their own signature. The Visit Venus is a nice crunchy melodic ditty that's been getting repeated play on my player, while, the Wu-Tang remix shows of Funkstoerung's sense of humor. As an added bonus, the DR artwork is cool spoof on the German post office. As for the J. Saul Kane's "Electro Boogie," it's a fun foray into the slightly darker realm European (Blue Monday thump-thump) electro. He mixes in a few of his own Electron Industries tracks with Echo Park, some Anthony Rother, and even my favorite Karaoke track... Soft Cell's "Tainted Love." :-) Both CDs are recommended. Mike.

no way. _non-stop erotic cabaret_ is a totally classic amazing album. of course, it might be too light for some tastes on this list, but i think it held up better than _second annual report_. * #### a disturbance in a system. #### laerm. @voicenet.com ##:# some roads are only seen at night/ghost roads - nothing but neon signs but some nights the neon gas gets free/and turns into walking dead like me icq:5562209

non stop erotic cabaret is one of my favorite releases ever. i always thought it would be really neat to hear some other artists' takes (via covers or mixes) on soft cell. (other than the token covers of tainted love, which is itself a cover). chris.

Nine Inch Nails covered "Memorabilia" on the Closer single (part 2 in the UK). One degree away, i would love to hear the Coil/Almond version of "Tainted Love". _________________________________ Adam Roesch / roesch@augsburg.edu Augsburg College / Minneapolis / MN / USA Visit my Fila Brazillia/Pork Recordings fan site: http://dogbert.augsburg.edu/~roesch/pork/ "The only disease we need in our blood is love" TRICKY
