I haven't seen the MTV show, but I used to try to watch his show here in Ottawa and I just found it profoundly unfunny. I mean, it was great if you were like 14 dude, but it was like Beavis and Butthead with suburban hipster sensibilities. Maybe I just don't like him cos he tried to pick up my girlfriend. Tee hee.

I was planning to do it with either a late model Mini-Disc or cheapo DAT acquired on eBay and those nifty stealth mikes made especially for the purpose. I'll email you the URL when I dig it up -- I can't remember where it is right now. They aren't cheapcheap but are purportedly quite good. I have to delay my purchase, as it would interfere with my plans to go travelling this summer. Hope this doesn't sound too sycophantic, but I was quite impressed with _Immaterial_. Cheers, Piotr
