One problem I've found with posts that say "Everyone please stop posting
about this irritating non-IDM topic" is that they only encourage many more
posts which:
- explain how IDM *is* in fact connected to this topic
- defend the freedom to post anything deemed relevant to the one posting
So, an attempt to stem the tide of messages on a specific topic results in
the opposite of the intended effect.
