Here's a review I did on the Tekonivel...
TEKONIVEL - GULAB JAMOON - TENSION...Mika Vainio is one-half of noise
giants Pan sonic. Here, you hear a lot of that influence, especially on the
A side tracks, but with the addition of some super-stomping beats, and a
great ravey vibe on the B tracks. The A side tracks are both Huge buzzy
stompers. The *title track, has reverberating bass beats, sticks, acidic
maneuvers and cool little sounds. 'Termiiti' has supa-doubled beats with a
scrapey, clicky, thick 'n deep mental feel. 'Disko Pepe' is a funky deep
bassy stepper with a sawing effect and twirly, twinkly carnival like
sounds, brushy percussion, cool hi-hat action and a feel that some mystery
travels within. 'Sinkki' is lots of fun with ah-woo calling sound reps and
steppy fun beats that change to big stompy elastic basssy ones with big
metallic accents and crunchy stuff. Play this record loud on a good system
for the full effect!
