Andy... Lance and clietz *perfectly* answered this query germane to modern styles and artists. I'd add a few oldies just for good measure. If only for the similarities to Tiki's vocal style, I'd say most Bim Sherman on the On- U Sound label is mellow and smooth like Tiki. When I got the R+S CD, I just could'nt help but think of Bim. Mind you, the BC fuzz sound is not there but Bim and Tiki *do* have a vibe in common. Also! check out the On U Sound Dub Plate 10" series now reissued on CD. For the "a side vocal" and "b side dub" stylee, this stuff is *classic*. And since the vinyl is next to *impossible* to get, these 2 ( are there more ? ) CDs are most gratifying.
