How about some reviews of the Underworld show at St. Andrews Hall in Detroit last night? I KNOW some of you were there. Admit it. Anyway, if you're up to a good analysis/critique (read: without a diatribe intended to show how hip you are proportional to how cool you think it might be to hold yourself aloof from Underworld), let's hear it. And I'm sure that we can all make arguments on both sides of the coin as to what is IDM/313...but I bet more than a few listpeeps form both cults were there. curious/not cantankerous, jeff -- jeff "10,000 people all screaming the same thing at the same time are wrong, even if they're right." dancing/about/architecture "...with wandering steps and slow..." I was not too impressed with the show or the dj sets last night at the underworld show. speaking of the DJ where was he/she? I saw no tables or anything..??? The show was way too big to be played at st.andrews first of all, the state theatre would have been a better spot. The video displays were boring and didn't seem to go well with the whole set. The show itself was boring, but the music was good, well produced, and at times very good. They had their moments..rez,dark and long, born slippy, pearls girl... but in between these songs it just seemed like filler a bit too trancy for me. Overall the show was a poormans orbital concert. but good nonetheless.. Bryan "~(({[Endemic~Distortion]}))~" wrote:

the projection screen, lighting rigs, and all other strobes seemed to compact and didn't have alot of room to to a really good job of lighting. The projection screen was so big It looked like they were playing on a stage with an 8 foot high ceiling. Bryan On Mon, 26 Apr 1999, Motor Detroit wrote:
