I've been listening to the new plaid album for a while now, and I've got to say I think it's all a bit...I dunno...underwhelming. It's nice enough, but nothing really stands out - then again, I thought Not For Threes was great, whereas loads of people on this list slated it. This is more like llasas, ie lots of clean electro-ey stuff. The super-cheesy 80's track (dang spots I think) is quite funnny though. The press release is thoroughly bizarre - listen to this... 'Rest Proof Clockwork is simply complex, a bubble filled vacuum within a flawed but perfect diamond, dogs turning into lions turning lights on in a cupboard filled with cartons of electrons. When the spring winds down, there is no preference or pain or aim until we can see the shining winder again' Dan Shoebridge np: Mos Def and Talib Kweli are Black Star
