Whenever I want to know if a movie has been sampled, I just head on over to the Top Sample Sources list. This is really amazing: http://www.ee.pdx.edu/~alf/samples/samples.cgi/source You name it, they've got it. The only catch is that it hasn't been updated for quite some time, but it's still very relevant. Cheers. -andrew -- /all major credit cards accepted/ / /http://www.calvin.edu/~asmith89/

Hmm, they've appeared to have missed out: Cmetric "Echo Tax 314" (B12) - Massive long speech F.U.S.E. "Theychx" (Warp) - "what's wrong?" & "take two more" etc.etc... ...Some old hardcore track on Rabbit City records..."I need something stronger" And probably a *fugg* lot of others...it's more sampled than they think. -- Ben Coffer http://www.hybridgame.demon.co.uk/

Well, back in '92 I wrote a track that combined samples from Blade Runner, Akira and (of all things) Days of Thunder. If anyone's interested, I can stick an MP3 of it up somewhere (well, anywhere except my arse). -- /\/)ark headspin - http://www.sonance.demon.co.uk/

If we start mentioning bands that have sampled Blade Runner we'll be emailing for years. The best place to check all this shit out is: http://phobos.astro.uwo.ca/~etittley/top_samples/ They have a list orgainized by movie or by artist. The direct link to Blade Runner is: http://phobos.astro.uwo.ca/~etittley/top_samples/sourcelist.html#LBlade+Runner Blade Runner, not surprisingly, is rated as sample source #1. The list is very long. You'll find two things: (1) people you never expected have sampled this movie, and (2) everyone, and i mean everyone has taken the samples "wake up! time to die!" or "i want more life, fucker."
