Not quite the shit that Gonzi was promising.... I was expecting, well not exactly a complete departure from the Isophlux 12", but maybe something a lot more evolved. The sounds are good, but still same-y Lexaunculpt beats... very Push Button Objects sounding.... it's good, but not exactly the October Revolution I was expecting. Aaron

No, I agree that it's not a revolution at all. In fact, I was somewhat disappointed with it when I first got it because I thought it was really samey MAS/Autechre type drippy little drum pitterings that I'd heard so often before, but since then I've listened to it at least 30 times & it has really become one of my favourite things to listen to for a while now. So what I'm saying is, give it more of a chance & some more time to sink in. The only time I think hype has been completely justified was for Squarepusher's first album on Rephlex, "Feed Me Weird Things." Check the archives for some rather extreme messages from Grant Wilson Claridge. He got everyone psyched for the record, and when it finally came out, I wasn't disappointed in the slightest.....
