In 1994, DBX's "Losing Control" seemed almost
inescapable. The success of "Losing Control"
was a key indicator of the shift which was
occurring in techno at the time, as the scene
split from the fashionably elaborate
production style of Frankfurt trance (which
had been a dominant force in Europe)
towards the more Detroit-oriented, definitively
minimal sound which replaced it.
