is that it? is the only requirement for something to be "romantic" (and
good lord, way to drive a term into the groun, folks) a big, sloppy, smarmy
melody?
maybe the lack of "soul"/"romanticism" people are hearing in lots of the
more angular/complex idm tracks has something to with the fact that a good
deal of the people making them would rather sit around trying to figure out
who is using MAX, who is using reaktor, how autechre sequences things, etc,
etc. ad nauseam.
if it doesn't make you feel anything in particular, why listen?
