every sound in the universe has the potential to move you. it just depends on the receiver and how he/she is conditioned. sounds themselves are beautiful entities. i think alot of us are trained to feel a certain way when we hear certain things. we often have specific emotional associations with certain sounds. that can be a dangerous thing. because then we put sounds into boxes (i.e. romantic/intelligent/boring/etc) instead of letting them be what they are. but be careful about pinning down sounds and putting them into neat little categories. because then the sounds become something else. let them be what they are. sorry for the migraine induced ramble. my cage-ian two cents worth, greg davis autumn records http://autumnrecords.cjb.net --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
