hello all, i was curious to see what people thought of this question. if you had to explain "IDM" to someone who thinks "electronica" is pioneered by fatboy slim and chemical brothers. if you had to pick one song or two or three to play to them and say , this best sums up what i listen to, what would it be? if you think this is just mindless drivel or you think this is such an important question id appreciate any responses. .brian

Hmm, a tough one. In no particular order (and if you were to ask me tomorrow, expect three different choices): 1. Plod - 'Markinal' 2. Aemic - 'ADSL' 3. Autechre - 'Yulquen' Then I'd scare them away with a v/vm track. -- /\/)ark headspin - http://www.sonance.demon.co.uk/

I would get out my most demented house and hard techno tracks and some truly spastic jungle shit and scare them away. That or some awful video-gamey electro funk, which they could pass off as a novelty and then leave me alone. Tom
