Alright all you A.R.T, B12 and Likemind etc. heads. Just wondering who can identify which release this track is from: Blue Binary - The Veil. Its featured on the Kirk De Giorgio mix compilation Check One on Applied Rhythmic Technology. Bonus points awarded for presentation, accuracy and flair. Blue Binary's track 'The Veil' comes from the second Global Technological Innovation - Unreleased comp on the New Electronica label. Here is the release info: . Yet another question for the IDM midterm. Seems to come up often enough. "Who is Blue Binary?" Answer: We don't know. They're credited as being someone named Werner Bauer, I think, but all indications point to it being Detroitio himself. Blue Binary only appears on the one of the ART/B12 project 12"s and on the Reflections on Reflections as a remixer, if I remember correctly. Supposedly Blue Binary is by someone named Werner Bauer. The only other Blue Binary tracks I've seen have been on comps for ART, New Electronica and Xtreme. I've always suspected that it was another guise for Kirk DeGiorgio because they have such a similar sound and all Blue Binary track appear on releases on Kirk DeGiorgio-related releases. Regardless, I would also love to know if more Blue Binary tracks exist and I agree with Cesium & Matt that Blue Binary's sound is excellent. The other Blue Binary appearances are on: . Redcell/Esoterik/Blue Binary comp 12" (ART 7.1) Track: Blue Binary: solaris . As One: reflections on reflections cd/2xlp (New Electronica) Track: As One: meridian/refected by Blue Binary . Check One comp 2xcd (Xtreme) Track: Blue Binary: the veil . 9/10! Touche on this one Lance, thanks. I would like to think that W.Bauer is an individual artist that was just floating around at the time. I don't think that Kirk is behind the project (not quite logical). However, it would be good to know the hard facts on this artist, even if there was only a handful of releases.
