Does anybody know if the Kung-Fu Knowledge tour is still going to happen? There were rumors that the tour was cancelled, but it seems like the lineup has only been reduced to a 6-8 per city. From their website, it is supposed to start in Miami, FL, on April 1st... http://www.kungfu-knowledge.com/ Will? Anybody? Sebastien Dalphond, B. Soft. Eng. sebby@toonboom.com

Yes, according to their PR person, it is happening. They have no idea where the rumour about it's cancellation started - all I know is that the person who first mentioned it on this list is the same one who posted about it being cancelled not long afterwards. Can't remeber who that was though.

As far as I know, the plan was never to have all of the listed DJs and artists to appear on every date of the tour. It was always supposed to be a rotating line-up type of thing. The line-up for the Toronto date is mediocre, with Ed Rush (and maybe 1.8.7) being the only ones I'd care to see. Not that it really matters since it's at fucking Industry, so I'd refuse to go even if the line-up was shit-hot. Greg

You could be refering to me. I got an email from someone who handles the booking for at least one artist on the tour. I had heard from several people other than this person that the tour was in fact not happening. I did get some confirmation that some of the people that were initially listed as doing the tour were only doing the event at the WMC. I also heard that some of the dates were cancelled because some rave promoters had backed out. I heard the LA show was for certain, but the line up seems shakey from what I heard. The tour may in fact happen but it doesn't look like it will have the stellar line up that was originally posted. I heard that Optical isn't on the tour, and neither is Technical Itch/Decoder. I'm not sure if Dom & Roland is going to be on it, if so definitely check him out!

That kind of supports what i have heard

Well the website was pretty misleading then (at least at the time I viewed it). I heard that it keeps getting updated, but I haven't gone back to check.

line-up Ed Rush is really good! I have no interest in 1.8.7. Call me a skeptic, but I think the line up will end up being kind of weak. I hope I am wrong. _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!? Get your free @yahoo.com address at http://mail.yahoo.com
