I've got to say that this is one of the strangest
"funk" albums I've ever heard. Well, no, it is the
strangest. Lots of "gosh, look, I've got funny
on-board effects" type digital muck about and
atonal music, coupled with some guy (is that Jamie
Lidell) singing, sometimes like Sly, sometimes
like Stevie Wonder, but always at their roughest
moments...
Atonal slap bass is also a truly baffling thing.
